GLOBAL MINISTRY

MISSION STATEMENT - The principal responsibility of the Global Ministry is to develop programs to inform the congregation on global mission issues and activities of our church and wider denominational (United Church of Christ) global mission initiatives and other world ministry engagements by ecumenical groups.  It coordinates the promotion and receipt of the United Church of Christ's "All-Church Offerings": Neighbors In Need, One Great Hour of Sharing and donations to Gifts of the Heart projects.  The ministry seeks in as many ways as possible to expose the church to the beautiful variety of God's people so that our members are respectful and appreciative of such diversity.

Whether it is through the encouragement of generous giving during Lent so that the youth of the church might travel and experience what it means to help those who are less fortunate around the world, Global Exposure Experience (GEE), the production of the SHARE newsletter, the celebration of the African Global Village, outreach to a neighboring shelters (Blanket Drive) in the  community or volunteering at World Vision, the members of the Global Ministry hope to give as God would have us give.
